New with this version: Version 1.5 of the TaskTool is the first version to be available in both a 16 and 32 bit version.

Uploaded by the author, TaskTool is intended for users of Microsoft Windows 3.1 who are not ready to follow Microsoft’s latest upgrade path. It provides the most powerful features of Microsoft’s latest operating system without the need to upgrade to the latest hardware.  

TaskTool is an economical alternative to Microsoft Windows 95. It brings the most powerful features of Microsoft’s latest version of Windows to older machines. Like Windows 95, it allows users to start their favorite programs with a single mouse-click as well as making it easier to navigate between multiple running programs. 

The TaskTool is designed to be effective on all machines that run Windows 3.1 (all the way down to the oldest 286’s).

Note: This file is self-extracting. To install, move TASKTOOL.EXE to an empty directory and run. Then, after the files are extracted (use F5 for refreshing), run the included SETUP.EXE.
